'absolute wonder woman' original ink drawing

As a comic fan since the early 80's, Wonder Woman was one of my favorite super heroes who was featured on the front of my cherished Justice League tin lunch pale that brought much daily inspiration to me as a kid. I thoroughly studied the way the characters and artwork were drawn and designed as I was starting to begin to understand the importance of visual symbolism of a hero from that lunch pale. Wonder Woman out of all the characters stuck out the most as her energy took over most of the composition of the entire artwork with her whip and energy tying the entire piece together. 

Come full circle almost 41 years later, I randomly thought about that very lunch pale from my childhood and got inspired to finally do my own depiction of the queen which is Wonder Woman. This rendition depicts her as the modern 'Absolute Wonder Woman' along with her homie 'Pegasus' drawn in my style with added visual variations reflecting the dark almost goth version of the heroine.

This is a piece I am very proud of as it came out clean and the ink execution was almost seamless and it will be the first of many super hero projects to be revealed in the next couple months.

This one is definitely an important milestone piece for many reasons and whomever ends up owning it will have a piece of history...
